Logo Visual Identity

"I need a new logo" and "I need a new brand identity" are two different requests, even though they're often used interchangeably. Understanding the difference can save you from investing in the wrong thing.

A logo is a single mark

Your logo is one asset: a symbol, a wordmark, or a combination of both. It's often the first thing people associate with recognizing your brand, but on its own, it can only do so much work.

A visual identity is the full system

Your visual identity includes the logo, but also your color palette, typography, imagery style, and the guidelines that hold it all together consistently across every touchpoint, from your website to your packaging to a single social post.

"A strong logo with no system behind it is like a great opening line with          no story to follow it."

Which one do you actually need?

If your business is new or your current mark simply feels dated but everything else still works, a logo refresh may be enough. If your brand feels inconsistent across platforms, or you've outgrown what your current identity communicates, you likely need the fuller system.

Not sure which one applies to you? That's exactly what a discovery call is for.
