Target Audience
Affluent women aged 30 to 60 who frequent luxury coastal destinations and seek an effortless, refined resort aesthetic. They invest in premium natural fibers like linen and silk, prioritizing breathable comfort, understated luxury, and high-end craftsmanship.
The Challenge
Develop a premium artisanal logo brand identity design for clothing brand that preserves the established luxury fashion house's sculptural artisanal feel.
The Approach
The visual identity for House of Bellori reimagines contemporary Mediterranean luxury by blending ancestral heritage with modern sophistication. By anchoring the brand in raw, natural textures and an intentional high-contrast color palette, the design tells a story of sun-drenched coastlines, historical depth, and effortless elegance. At the heart of the identity, I chose to draw an emblem that serves as both a literal and abstract representation of the Mediterranean spirit: the rustic sun is encapsulated by concentric geometric borders associated with ancient architecture, the fluid waves, and the culmination of high-pointed, architectural rays projecting outward to capture the fierce brilliance of the Mediterranean sun. The intention behind the typography was to emulate sculptural movement and curves, as the brand is well known to present their clothing lines alongside sculpted abstract art pieces. As a true marketer at heart, I am always thinking of how the visual languages I create can be transformed into a unique world that highly resonates with the target audience. I kept the letter O in the wordmark logo as a simple elongated oval to be used as a window, or portal, into the world of Bellori. My thought is that in the future the brand can use this concept in advertisements and social media campaigns, where the star of their ad physically steps into the O and enters a warm Mediterranean vacation setting wearing a Bellori piece.
The Solution
The finished rebrand gave House of Bellori a complete logo system built around the sunburst emblem and sculptural wordmark, a high-contrast color palette, and a typography system shaped by the brand's own sculptural art pieces. A signature pattern and a canvas-inspired digital texture now carry that same sun-drenched, artisanal language across social media and every other digital touchpoint, giving the house a visual world as refined and sculptural as the pieces it sells.
